Advanced of Linguistic : Phoneme, Minimal pair, Allophone, Morpheme, Allomorph

In the first meeting of S2, the first material of Advanced of Linguistic was about Phonemes, Minimal pair, Allophone, Morpheme, and Allomorph. They were discussed highly detail by Mr. Nur Salam. Although I was still not so getting the point of it, I attempted to note what Mr Nur Salam was said or written in the whiteboard. Alright, I am going to explain little by little what I got from him below.

Ok, direct to the explaining of Phoneme first. Phoneme (//) is the smallest part of a word which doesn’t have any meaning but it can different meaning. Based on the Mr. Nur Salam, we can take the example ‘see’ = /si/ and ‘she'= /Sh/. If we pronounce them, there are so many differences but in the symbol of the
Minimal pair is a pair of word which has only one different meaning.

Allomorph ([]) has two definitions. For the first definition, it is the variation of the phoneme, and the second it is the smallest part of a word which has no meaning and it cannot difference meaning.

Morpheme ({}) is the smallest part of a word which has any meaning but it can different meaning. Morphemes has two, they are Free Morpheme, example: book, and Bound Morpheme, example: book(s).
